Grading System in Open University. GPA full form, meaning, abbreviation is Grade Point System (GPA). Some university follow Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) system. CGPA is average grade point obtained in all subject without additional subject. Whereas GPA is the average result achieved through out full degree period. During grade point calculation, teachers consider Theoretical, Practical and VIVA exam result.
GPA Calculation System:
Grade Point Average calculation is not difficult. It is a just simple mathematics. If you want to calculate GPA/CGPA, you have to know some information which is given bellow:
1. Total Point achieved in a year
2. Total credit offered in a year
GPA = Total credit point earned by students divided by total credit offered by college/University
CGPA Calculation System:
Cumulative Grade Point Average calculation process almost same like Grade Point Average calculation system. Students have to know following information for CGPA calculation. Details are given bellow:
1. TPS of 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year
2. Total number of credits in whole program
CGPA = 4 Year PS divided by total credit
Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, BUET grading system is CGPA but point is not equal.
